ChemRem represents a line of environmental products that are manufactured by FMC Corporation for remediating soil and groundwater contamination. Below is a basic overview of these products, but for more details please go to the product-specific page on this website.

• Klozur® sodium persulfate is the oxidant of choice for remediation projects because of its ability to treat a wide range of contaminants in soil and groundwater and its flexibility in use. • PermeOx® Plus is an aerobic bioremediation product that is specially formulated with a time-release grade of calcium peroxide designed to assist in the destruction of hydrocarbons and other aerobically degradable compounds in soil and groundwater.  Click HERE for more details.
   
• Klozur® CR is a “combined remedy” product that couples base activated persulfate reactions with extended oxygen release to affect mass reduction followed by additional concentration reductions via aerobic biostimulation. Klozur CR is manufactured as a single formulated product containing a special blend of Klozur persulfate and engineered calcium peroxide (PermeOx Plus). This product unites the strengths of both products and can be used to treat contaminant source zones and portions of the dissolved-phase plume both peripheral to and down gradient of the source zone.  Click HERE for more details.
   
• Hydrogen Peroxide is versatile and environmentally friendly and it is often used as an oxidizing agent for both organic and inorganic chemical processing. In the acidic pH range, an un-catalyzed hydrogen peroxide is only a moderate oxidizer. But, when it is catalyzed with iron, hydrogen peroxide produces hydroxyl radicals, a powerful free radical.
